Tried to get out of the Saturday traffic and make a short day by going to Lake Arthur. Only accomplished the short day part and was home by 2:00 pm with 3 crappie. Fish where real hard to find. All were caught 4' under a cork.
The river was 2.02' at Mermentau, and the thunderstorms managed to hold off. Too many joy riders with real loud noise (music?).
