Went back to Nezpique and fished mostly North where I caught 8 crappie. After that I did hurry South as far as DMAP for 1 more crappie and a nice bass for a total of 10 fish for the day. The water seemed better South and was still about as low as it gets up there. 5 other boats trying today and the guy I met Tuesday said he had 40 fish down below Mermentau.

All fish caught on the Salter Pole at about 7' deep with the small tube jigs glued like he showed us.

Saw a squirrel swimming across the bayou and that looked weird with only his head and neck showing. Real nice weather after an August cool front with the high near 90 as opposed to 94 with North wind and dryer air.
