Caught 5 crappie and a bass in less than 2' of water by the trees fishing 8" under a slip cork. Tried the lake, but nothing. Caught them all in the canal. One crappie went 14". The Mermentau gage was around 2.4', and the water is still on the muddy side. There was nobody else trying, but there were a few other boats running around.
