Tried the canal and aways around the lake for not a bite. The water is still cold after some fronts, and I didn't see anyone else even trying.
On a positive note I did meet Todd Dugas in the canal whom I hadn't seen in years and enjoyed visiting with him.
The river was at 2.2, and I'm thinking that I'll not try this place again during the cold season.
