Paddled the yak 9.4 miles total North of the Lake Shore Club. Managed 7 crappie all caught 7+' deep in deep water. They were caught tight line with variations of chartreuse plastic. They were small tube jigs.

It was very hot and coming in around 3:00 it must have been around 93. I drank 5.5 bottles of water and a Gator Aid. Long time since last rain so the Mermentau gage is near the lowest level around 1.9'. The water was clear enough and you could see a good many garfish. Only a couple of other boats trying and the one I talked to was doing about like me.

Permissions mix up regrettably caused grief for the land owner at the marina where I launched.
