I didn't paddle far today as I wanted to take it easy in the near 100 degree heat. I went North to the first location and back. I was also giving my new jig pole and spinning real a break in. It's taking some getting used to.

I caught 8 crappie that were all fairly small. The size did pick up a notch from the last trip though. The river was at 1.8' and the fish seemed to be in deep water suspended.

There were about 8 boats that showed up right after me and I had hopes that something good was going on. I didn't really get to talk to any of them to see what they were doing.
