Caught 6 male crappie on the nest today. They were all 8" under the cork in shallow against the trees. All my effort was in the first canal South, but a guy I met did good in the location near Castechs and swamps on the way.

All a nice day with temps in the mid 60's. The river was on the low side around 2.3' and the fish had a nice dark green color. Very little action at the landing for a Friday. Tried the swamps just above the landing on the way home, but no luck.
