Looks like a few days early with the river at 2.8' on the Mermentau gage and a little current still running. I picked up 3 keeper crappie and tossed back about 5 little ones. Most of the action was at the mouth of Nezpique with the fish deep to about 6'. Caught them tight lining on tree tops. There was only one other boat fishing out of Mermentau and I gave them my fish.

As I type the day after both Nezpique and Mermentau gages are still showing the downward trend and haven't leveled off yet.
