I launched at Jennings and fished down then up to I-10. All I got out of it was a good work out paddling the ole kayak, and getting more experience with the new weedless hooks from Slider.

There were a few perch shallow by the bank, but that was all as the water was bad to the point of stinking a little. The water was near the bottom, but still had a visible slight current. No one else launched there that morning.

I stopped off at Mermentau on the way home just to look at the water. There were two trailers in the lot there, but the water had the same fonky, brown clear, and bubbly look to it.
