Jude and I braved the cold today for a 5.56 paddle in the Indian Bayou of Henderson. We launched on the levee above Cecilia and made a round in the 2 bayous that lead to Lake Fordouche. Nice deep water as advertised by those reportedly catching on CDC, but all we caught is each a big choupique. We each had to get the other to net the monsters.

Lot's of folks were on the water for a Friday with the first day of dear season for the Indian Bayou area and the opening of the duck season tomorrow.

As of today I'm convinced we don't know how to catch cold weather crappie.
