We had a good trip, but a cloud hung over our heads after talking to some crew members of the fallen tree removal company. See my report on CDC here.
It was a long day. We paddled our 3 kayaks down stream from the park in Jennings for 8.8 miles. We were gone from day light until 4:00 in the afternoon.
Only 4 fish were caught prior to lunch with the other 8 coming as the afternoon wore on. We had some serious wind with the thundershowers and a little scary lightening. We got almost soaked, but it was a blessed cooling.
Water was making a little rise as it jumped .5' during the day to finish at 3.24'. We are not planning to go back do to the laydown removal going on by the government.
