Pelba at 11.36' at day start and another .4' rise over the day. Surprised to catch at all with the rise. Three other fisherman had a total of 1 so I was lucky. Met Norman Broussard. Real nice guy and gave him my fish. Caught 2 in the Phillips Canal for the first time on tops 2' below a cork. The other 3 came from lower Pelba near the few perfect cypress fishing tight line with Bobby Garland baby shad. Nothing deep at all. Real nice day with light winds and all different kinds of water. Very few people out. Truck stuck under rest area bridge blocked a lot I'm guessing. Only about 6 cars at Basin Landing when I got back. Went an hour in morning without hearing another boat.
