With all the high water everywhere else I thought I would give Lake Martin a try and trow far from the boat with a cork. Nothing. Only a couple of people trying. One old man who caught 17 a few days back stayed on the duck blinds all day. Must have been catching something, but I tried them and nothing. Everything inside the trees was full of water grass that choked the trolling motor after going only a few feet. The water had a green algae look to it and was as high as it gets and flowing out fairly hard. I hope I never go back there. There are also some bugs that bite on the cypress. You don't feel them, but when you get home super whelps!
