Found another canal that gave up 5 or so. Just south of the big tank battery running East/West. Seems the water clarity is a big factor. Clear but not too black seemed best. The fish where next too limbs or logs underwater. You could almost see where the fish where hiding. A few along the edge and under grass mats. All caught on blue/white Poppa Chop 18" under a cork. Mermentau was at 3.23' but the wind from the South was causing the muddy water too flow back into the canals. I had the place to myself with not another trailer at the landing going or coming.
