Fished/paddled the Zep Sunday evening for a couple hours. Paddled to the I-10 bridge, caught 1 bream. It was keeper size but tossed it back anyway.

I did the same thing Friday, but went down further. Up or down it was all the same. I think the water is bad. The only perch you feel biting are real shallow which to me says low oxygen deep. I didn't even get a crappie bite.
There was no one else using the landing either. I think all the rain plus the yoyo-yo tide caused by the hurricane have it temporarily messed up. I stopped at Mermentau and it looked to be the same, but two other folks were out.
After this cool front I'm looking for it to get better. We might be out there together next weekend. Who knows?
